The restoration of this hull started with a full inspection of the hull after the decks were removed. The
damage to the Hull along with repairs made to her during her long racing carrier dictated the extensive rebuild. The lines
were taken from the hull and lofted on the computer. We generated a 3D model of the hull. The Model allows me to pull measurements
from the existing hull and compare these measurements to the model without totally disassembling the boat. Using the model
we can generate sections of the hull at the frame stations convert these lines to a format that allows us to cut the frames
and many components of the hull on the CNC router.
After the lines are generated and faired in the lofting program a frame board is engraved with the station lines. These lines are used to assemble the frames.
