If you are commited to restoring a wooden boat to pristine condition we can provide you with a level of craftsmanship few can achieve. If you need a bottom replaced and want to finish the boat yourself, thats fine. What you will have is our support if you run into problems or just need some advice. I have restored or built wooden boats from canoes to GP hydroplanes. I'll be happy to share my knowledge with a customer. We offer seasonal maintenance coats of varnish for your prized wooden boat, as well as repairs to damaged wooden boats. We have worked with Hagerty Insurance on several occaisions to satisfy the needs of their customers .

I started drawing and modeling wooden boats in 3-D several years ago upon the purchase of a Techno CNC Router. When I purchased the router I realized the machine is worthless without the ability to generate the drawings and vector files to tell the machine where and how to make the cuts. Drawing 2-D files quickly turned into a desire to generate 3-D models to further expand the potential of our CNC Router. I model with a program called Rhino. This is a fantastic program that you can download for free and you can use it all you like as a fully functional drawing program. You do not have to purchase it to play with it. Why would you do this? If I'm working on a drawing for you,be it a boat hull or a component of the hull, I can send you the file. You can view it in the same workspace I'm working in, rotate it in 3-D, view it from any angle. This allows us both to make the best use of our time. If you want to make changes to the design it makes it really easy for us to communicate and to achieve the effect you are after. The truly nice part about this is, you as the customer are working with not just a graphic artist or a designer but the man thats going to be building the boat.

I can manipulate the wireframes for the surfaces in the model to emulate any surface texture or color. If you think you want the hull sides painted pink, I can do this in a few clicks of the mouse. I can generate renderings of the model that would look like a photograph. You can see an example of this below . This is a pocket watch I drew to demonstrate the different effects I can produce by applying different attributes to the wireframes. I used a rendering program called Flamingo NXT to apply the atributes to the wireframes and generate the rendering.
